Terms of use for LinkBuildingStat

These terms set out how the service may be used. They are general by design; if something is unclear, the account page is where to ask.

The data has limits

Link data comes from our own crawler and index and refreshes about once a month. It can miss recent links and it describes links, not rankings. It is information, not advice, and no outcome is promised.

Your account and key

Sign in with Google to open an account. You are responsible for what happens under it.

Keep your API key private. If you think it leaked, tell us through the account page and stop using it.

One person's key should not be handed out as a shared service to many unknown users.

Credit and charges

Calls draw on prepaid credit. Prices per action are the ones shown in the API reference, and the sign-up credit is a promotion we may change for new users.

When credit runs out, the API answers with HTTP 402 until you top up. A missing or invalid key returns HTTP 401.

Fair use

Do not attack, overload or probe the service, and do not use it to break the law. We may limit or suspend an account that does.

You may build the data into your own reports and tools. Please do not present our DR as another vendor's metric.

Ending the relationship

You may stop using the service at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms or that threaten the service for others.

Questions about an account, charges or data go through the account page. Details on data handling are in the privacy notes, and the about page says what the service does and does not measure.

Acceptable use of the output

Reports you build from the data are yours. Please keep the date of the lookup beside any figure you publish, as the site does.

Do not claim that our numbers prove a ranking effect, and do not present DR as the score of another vendor.

If you resell access, make clear that the data is ours and tell your own customers about the monthly refresh.

Liability and changes

The service is offered as it is. We do not guarantee that data is complete or current, or that it will lead to any search result.

We may change features, prices and these terms, and continued use means you accept the current version. See the privacy notes for how we handle your data.
